This lot said they were debt advisors, but it was all a con. When I said I wasn’t interested he kept messing about trying to spin it. I had to say again, I’m not interested, but he went on and on. After saying no a few times, he just told me to f*** off, said it in loads of different ways like some sort of joke, then just hung up on me. Proper rude and annoying.

I just got a call from 01582 021196, but I have no one in Luton that I know. It seemed a bit dodgy so I didn’t pick up, and they didn’t leave a message either. Quite strange really.

these days, i just let my answering machine take the calls. only if i hear it’s someone i know or a genuine person, i bother to pick up. otherwise, it’s probably just spammers again!

Honestly, they’re so annoying. You say you’re not interested, and then they ring again the very next day. There really oughta be rules stopping these firms from doing this. You block one number, and somehow they manage to phone you from another one! Such a hassle.

They called and questioned if I was someone with a name close to mine but not quite right. After that, they wanted to know if I owned the number they dialled. I just said that info was none of their business, and then they ended the call.

They called asking if I was (my name), so I wanted to know who they were first. Then they repeated the question, "Are you (my name)?" I asked once more who they actually were, but after that, they just went quiet.

Got a call from a number pretending to be looking for some Steve Baker. I told the bloke he’d got the wrong person, and he just dropped the call straight away. This has happened to me loads - probably at least 15 times over the last couple of years! Every time I say I’m not Steve Baker, they just bugger off. Honestly, I bet they never find this Steve Baker guy they’re always after, but who knows maybe one day they will. Doubt it though!
