I’m absolutely on edge! I’ve been warned that my timeshare could end up with a debt collector, and to make matters worse, I was informed that the solicitors I’ve enlisted are nothing but con artists. It has left me feeling quite frightened and overwhelmed.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Fiona Harris, said she worked for a litigation firm that’s a third party referral acting for Ramada, which supposedly took over the Club La Costa timeshare. She kept saying we owed maintenance fees for Club La Costa. When I asked where she got my info from, she said Ramada. Felt like a total scam to me... really annoyed about the whole thing.

I've just returned home after being away for three weeks and noticed a bunch of missed calls from this number and another one I've already flagged. No voicemail or anything, but if this is some sort of timeshare con, it’s odd since we’re actually trying to sell our timeshare right now. Maybe someone over in Tenerife has got hold of our info somehow...?

This number has been ringing me non-stop - like five times daily over the last couple of days. It’s annoying coz my phone filters most calls and I never pick up anyway. I’ve been on the do-not-call list since it first came out, so honestly I’m pretty mad that they keep trying to reach me. Just this morning it started again.

Got a call from a woman who was all apologetic but then said we've got a court case against us or something about unpaid fees to Silver Point, didn't say which court though. She was pretty forceful and acted like she knew everything. Kept saying she'd guide us through the legal stuff. Honestly, I'd avoid picking up calls from this number, feels like a scam to take your money.

Got a call about a timeshare I ended 8 years ago - I even have a letter proving it was all sorted. They told me Hilton Timeshare group have complained and now I’m supposedly going to court because Diamond Resort, the company I originally dealt with, didn’t cancel things right. I checked with the Timeshare Advice Centre and they said it’s definitely a scam.

I’ve received a rather dubious demand saying I owe money to a hotel chain known as Muthu Group, which used to be the MGM Group, situated in Tenerife. The twist? I've never set foot in the place. The person reaching out, Zara Wilkinson, was decidedly secretive about her employer, merely stating she was with "Contract Services" for the "European Court." It all seems a bit fishy, if you ask me.

Got called 5 times from this number about some breach of contract linked to a timeshare holiday home they claim I had in 1997 - were mobile phones even a thing back then! They said the company, something like MGM Mutha, is sending bailiffs because I haven’t paid maintenance fees. Totally a scam obviously, but it’s really frustrating and could be quite scary for elderly or vulnerable folks.

Hey, just got a call from this number, a woman called Zara Wilkinson told me I’m heading to court through some European court stuff about a debt with Ono. I’ve received three calls from a rather haughty gentleman who identified himself as Joseph Barron, claiming to represent the Solicitors Regulation Authority. He insisted that I owed money to a firm called Muthu-apparently linked to some sort of timeshare debt that, quite bizarrely, could be passed down to heirs. When I challenged him, expressing my disbelief and suggesting it was a scam, he dismissed my concerns as preposterous before abruptly ending the call. They attempted to ring me again afterwards, but I chose not to engage and have since blocked the number.

I’ve received three calls from a rather articulate yet rather impolite individual claiming to be named Joseph Barron. He asserted he was affiliated with the Solicitors Regulation Authority and insisted that I was in default with a firm called Muthu, purportedly a holiday company. He warned me that legal action was imminent. When I mentioned that I had no knowledge of this Muthu, hinting that it seemed like a scam, he absurdly retorted, calling my assertion ridiculous, before abruptly ending the call. He tried to ring me again later, but I chose to ignore it.

Some bloke called Joseph Barron claimed he was ringing from the Solicitors Regulation Authority about legal action from a firm named Muthu. Apparently, it had to do with a timeshare my folks sold about 20 years ago, and now the debt was being passed to me as their relative. He was quite aggressive and, once he saw I wasn’t going to share any details, he just hung up on me! I’m pretty sure it was one of those scam calls.
