Got a call from someone claiming to be Fiona Harris, said she worked for a litigation firm that’s a third party referral acting for Ramada, which supposedly took over the Club La Costa timeshare. She kept saying we owed maintenance fees for Club La Costa. When I asked where she got my info from, she said Ramada. Felt like a total scam to me... really annoyed about the whole thing.

Got a call about a timeshare I ended 8 years ago - I even have a letter proving it was all sorted. They told me Hilton Timeshare group have complained and now I’m supposedly going to court because Diamond Resort, the company I originally dealt with, didn’t cancel things right. Got a call from someone saying I owed money to a hotel chain called Muthu Group (used to be MGM Group) in Tenerife for a stay I never had. The woman on the phone, Zara Wilkinson, wouldn’t tell me who she actually worked for and just said “Contract Services” for the “European Court.” It all sounded really dodgy to me.

I've had three calls from a polite yet quite pushy bloke who gave his name as Joseph Barron. He claimed he was with the Solicitors Regulation Authority and told me I owed money to a company called Muthu - something about timeshare debt that supposedly could be passed down. He mentioned they were about to take legal action. When I told him I'd never heard of Muthu and was sure it was a scam, he called me ridiculous and then just ended the call. They rang again afterwards but I ignored it and have since blocked the number.

This number has buzzed me thrice already. The gentleman who picked up spoke quite posh but came across as rude. He called himself Joseph Barron, claimed to work for the Solicitors Regulation Authority and said I owed money to Muthu, some sort of holiday firm. According to him, they were on the verge of taking legal action against me. When I told him I’d never even heard of them and thought it sounded dodgy, he laughed it off and just ended the call. He rang again a bit later but I didn’t pick up this time.

Some bloke called Joseph Barron claimed he was ringing from the Solicitors Regulation Authority about legal action from a firm named Muthu. Apparently, it had to do with a timeshare my folks sold about 20 years ago, and now the debt was being passed to me as their relative.
