Not really sure what's going on, but it seems like some financial firms chasing unpaid debts are handing out my number to dodgy callers. Whenever I ignore their calls, I get flooded by scam calls for a while. Then, once those scams stop, the financial companies start calling me again. It’s like this endless loop. Just last week CABOT kept ringing me up and leaving messages, then suddenly the scam calls kicked off again - had three calls today alone, including one from this exact number.

A woman with an Asian accent called claiming to be from call blocking, asking me to verify my name and address. She then inquired about whether my debit card expired a certain year, and when I said I wasn’t sure, she told me to go check it. I lost it and said, “What on earth does that have to do with you?” It was so obvious she was pulling a scam. If I ever catch her, I swear I’ll give her a right kicking. Told her to get lost immediately.

Got three missed calls from this number earlier today. After reading the feedback here, I figured I'd pick up when they called a fourth time. The person on the line was an Asian bloke claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. He asked if I was still getting nuisance calls, and when I said yes, he told me he wasn’t trying to sell anything. But then he started yelling at me! I told him to calm down, but he just kept on, talking about some add-on to stop the calls. That’s when I decided to hang up.

Today, 7th April 2017, got a call from number 0158 2724637. The bloke with an Asian accent was asking me to confirm my name and address, claiming it was about nuisance calls. Then he wanted to know if we had a credit card - obviously no. Then asked about a chequebook - again no. Told him if he wanted any details he could forget it, knew straight away it was a dodgy scam. He just hung up on me. Ironically, he was the real nuisance!

Back on 6th April 2017, I got a call from this lady whose English was really hard to understand. I mentioned that my number is registered with the telephone preference service, so she really shouldn't be ringing me. She then mumbled something about my cold locking system being out of date or something like that, but I had no idea what she meant. I told her I had no clue, and she just ended the call.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent who said his name was Adam. He claimed that starting today, my phone company would be blocking all spam calls for me. When I asked how they were going to do that, he just said I didn’t need to worry about the details. Then he mentioned it would be a £3 monthly charge. I told him I wasn’t interested, but he insisted it was already added to my bill. I told him I never requested anything like that and didn’t want it. Feels like a scam, though I’m not quite sure what they’re really after.
