Got a voicemail saying there was an issue with my BT landline and to call a BT engineer, then press 1. This happened yesterday too but it was from another number (07366098065) with exactly the same message. Pretty clear it’s a scam trying to trick people.

Got a call the other day from someone claiming to be from my bank’s security team, said there had been dodgy transactions on my card. They insisted that someone at my branch might be involved and pressured me into shifting money to a “secure” account to protect it. Turned out, it was just a scam to get my money moved so they could nick it. Sometimes these con artists even tell you to withdraw huge amounts in cash and send it off to some random “money mule”. Massive warning to anyone who gets calls like this!
