Got a call just now, and as soon as I picked up, they went quiet and then cut off. Definitely one of those scam calls.

Got a call from some woman saying she’s from ‘bank security’. She went on about two usual payments - a £300 one to Amazon and another £1100 to some international money transfer. She wanted me to press 1 to cancel them or something dodgy like that. Pretty sure it’s a scam. Definitely put this number on your block list!

No message was left on my voicemail. I tried calling the number back, but it seems to be unrecognised.

Received an automated message on my answering machine, claiming to be from Amazon regarding a wire transfer to an international recipient. I’ve swiftly deleted the number and lodged a report with both Amazon and Virgin Media, the alleged provider of the telephone service.

I received a rather unsettling phone call, where a robotic voice informed me that funds had been withdrawn from my account. Definitely sounds like a scam, doesn’t it?

They called but hung up without leaving a message on the answering machine. It appears they’re only interested in speaking directly to someone!
