The moment my answering machine picked up, they just hung up.

At about 7:45 in the morning, I got a call about my internet. I told them to buzz off, or something along those lines.

I'm pretty convinced these scam calls come from either mates or relatives working in places like Amazon support, or maybe it's even the same support staff doing dodgy stuff on the side. There's no way my number got out otherwise, especially since they call me by a name that I only use for Amazon transactions. Honestly, those Indian call centre workers can be a right nightmare.

Got a call from someone named Lars pretending to be from BT, but definitely not them. Obviously a scam, so I've blocked the number now.

Just got a call about some internet scam, saying my account was used without permission. They had my name and account number, which made it seem believable. Really dodgy stuff, be careful!

Got loads of calls from these lot, like six times asking about my broadband speed and saying they were from BT. Told them to stop ringing me but Ralf Laine just wouldn’t give up. Like the fate of the world depended on him knowing my internet speed or something, honestly. Wouldn’t be surprised if something blows up if he can’t get that info soon!

I left the line open for about three minutes but nobody said a word, just dead silence. No idea what their deal was, but whatever, their loss really! x

Somebody rang me claiming to be from BT, saying there’d been odd stuff going on with my account for a couple of weeks. I tried to get a word in, but they just kept talking non-stop, wouldn’t let me say anything. Eventually told them to be quiet just to get a chance to speak, but they talked right over me. I just ended up hanging up.

Got a call claiming to be from BT Outreach, and they gave me some reference number. It was all a load of rubbish though - just a scam to try and get me to let them into my computer to apparently fix some 'virus' or hacking problem. Totally dodgy!

As soon as my mum handed the phone over to me, the so-called "expert," I just put the phone down.

This bloke said he was calling from BT, claimed there was some dodgy activity on my account and that I’d been hacked. I told him my internet's been working just fine. Then he went on and asked why I thought it was all fishy. I told him I reckon he’s just trying to con me. Next, he asked how much dosh I’ve got if I thought it was a scam. That’s when I just ended the call.
