Like loads of others have said, it’s clearly a total scam and they’re really pushy about it.

Scammers claiming to be from BT called me, but when I told them I was an active police officer, you could hear a sudden pause on the other end before they hurriedly ended the call.

Just a bunch of scammers trying to swindle cash from decent folks by wasting their time.

She had a kinda Eastern European accent, I reckon. Told me her name was Anna and said she was calling from BT. I just told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away.

Some bloke with an eastern accent rang me, saying he was from BT internet. It was obvious he was pulling a scam, so I mimicked every word he said, copying his accent perfectly. You should’ve seen how annoyed he got! Was well worth having a laugh at his expense, even though he told me to do something impossible before slamming the phone down in a huff.

It was a number I recognised, but after it went through to some kind of automated system and I got to option 9, I just dropped the call.

There was a woman with an Asian accent who called, claiming to be from BT wanting to chat about my internet. She got my name wrong, and when I corrected her, she just ended the call straight away.

Had a call from someone claiming to be from BT tech support. They got me to open up Command Prompt and then asked me to check a number they gave against what came up on the screen, saying it proved they were legit. Turns out, that number's just a standard ID Windows uses for zipped files - nothing to do with BT at all. Next, they told me to run eventvwr and look under Administrative Tasks. Suddenly, they pointed out loads of errors and warnings, saying it meant my PC was in trouble. This was clearly meant to scare me into trusting them. After that, they pushed me to download AnyDesk and share the access code. That would've given them control of my computer. I strongly urge anyone getting calls like this to hang up and report the number to Action Fraud. Don't fall for this trick!

This number keeps ringing me non-stop, usually it stops after just two rings and then they hang up. Once i picked up and it was someone chatting about the nhs. Quite annoying to be honest!

I’m on the TPS list but this number still keeps ringing me. Makes you wonder if the TPS is even worth it. Whenever they ring, the caller hears that my number is blocked by call guardian and then they just drop the call. Seems like they just can’t get the message that they’re not allowed to call.
