over the past day, i've had about seven calls from people with indian accents, saying they're from bt openreach. they tell me my internet router is showing errors and want me to type in some commands using win+r. honestly, even if those commands seem harmless, no legit company named “windows” would ring you up about a virus like that. chances are, it's just a scammer trying to fool you into believing your computer's infected or malfunctioning.

Over the past day, this number and a few others like it have rung me about five times. When i pick up, it’s quiet for a moment then some guy with an indian accent starts talking, saying he's from bt openreach. One time, i told him my internet wasn't working and he just hung up straight away. The other times, he tried to convince me there was an issue with my internet and asked for money to fix it. Pretty clear that it’s a scam.
