Just like others have said about this number, I had a similar run-in. The caller was foreign and oddly enough knew my name, which felt a bit off. I played it safe, just replying with simple yes or no answers and didn’t reveal anything personal. By the end, he seemed puzzled and couldn’t outbid the deal I already have, so he eventually gave up. Honestly, it’s about time the Government did something to put an end to these scams.

Got a call just now from an Asian lady who wanted to speak to Mrs D… no idea who that is, definitely not me. When I asked what she wanted, she said it was about lowering my phone bill. I asked which company she worked for and she mentioned some kind of telecom firm. Trying to be cautious, I asked how she got my number and how she figured out phone usage details. I told her I’m entitled to verify where these calls come from. She insisted I should listen to her first, but I said this call was dodgy and she should delete my number.
