Just received a message from a number I’ve never seen before saying there was an issue with a payment to eBay from my Nationwide account and that I should ring that number if I didn’t know about it. Thing is, I don’t even have an account with Nationwide or shop on eBay, so it’s definitely dodgy.

Our home phone, which is a landline, just rang and went straight to the answering machine. When we checked, the caller had already ended the call. Seems like another one of those dodgy scam or spam calls.

I received a call from someone who clearly wasn't a native English speaker, yet they seemed to know my name. When I didn't acknowledge them, they had the audacity to ask if I was hard of hearing. At that point, I decided enough was enough and ended the call.
