They keep ringing my workshop phone quite a few times, mostly about 9 in the morning, just when I’m not around. If I try calling back later in the day, like early afternoon, it usually says ‘this number isn’t in service’. After seeing what others have said here, if they call again and then the line just goes silent, I won’t bother calling back anymore.

I got in touch with BT and they told me this isn’t a valid exchange number - it’s not linked to any phone provider. They mentioned it might be a “Cloud” number and could be coming from anywhere around the globe. It’s mostly a pain, especially since I run a business. Seems to me the company behind it should really think twice before getting involved considering all the trouble connected to that number. JR

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent calling himself 'Richard' claiming to be from business solutions, wanted to talk to the business owner. When I told him there's no business here, he just ended the call. Total scam, stay clear.

Someone I don’t recognise has rung me at least twice today and quite a few times this week too. I heard this could be a number linked to Vonage Limited. When I checked the Companies House records, it was pretty curious stuff. All three directors have their official address listed in the USA, which I found a bit odd!

When I responded like it was a company phone, they asked for the person in charge. I left them waiting on the line and they hung up after around 20 seconds. Just let it ring through to voicemail unless you recognise the number. These annoying telemarketers will eventually catch on. Most phones nowadays show who’s calling anyway.
