I recently received a rather curious phone call from one Andrew Adams, who fortuitously inquired if I needed assistance accessing funds from a cryptocurrency firm, which, amusingly enough, I was already in the process of doing. When he elaborated on what his company was all about, I insisted on receiving the particulars in writing. To my surprise, he forwarded me a contract that was rather shoddy, all under the guise of Block Chain Access Ltd. Being somewhat prudent, I took a gander at the FCA's website, only to discover that there was a clone operation masquerading as this entity. The email bore Andrew Adams' name, and upon closer inspection, I noticed logos of the FCA, Prudential Regulation Authority, and Companies House emblazoned at the top. Just a word of warning: they are incredibly convincing and quite polished in their approach!

This number, 01580239511, has phoned me about three times. It was a woman with a foreign accent claiming to be from some kind of finance investigation unit. She told me someone’s been using my name for trading and that they want to give me some money back. Seemed a bit off to me.

They keep ringing me non stop, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number. Even though it goes straight to voicemail, they never actually leave any message. Really annoying!

Got a call from 01580239511 and picked up since the area code is where my sister stays, figured it might be her new number. The person on the line claimed to be from FAA, saying I owed money on some bitcoin trading account. Told them it wasn’t me and that they must have the wrong person, then I hung up and blocked the number straight away!

I received a rather forceful call from a woman who seemed determined to get something from me. When I chose not to engage, her attitude took a sharp turn for the worse. She claimed to be from some sort of investigatory firm, but as she completely disregarded what I was saying, I decided to end the conversation and hang up. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

I've been bombarded by these individuals claiming that I've signed up with their service, which I certainly haven't. It's become rather tiresome, receiving calls from different numbers all over the UK, sometimes as many as four or five times a day. It's quite relentless, really!

Ever since I started looking into cryptocurrencies, I’ve been getting loads of dodgy calls nonstop, from everywhere really, even from that number 01580239511 mentioned here. I keep blocking them but it feels like there’s a never ending stream of new numbers ringing me.

Just got a call from this number right after I reported another one starting 0208 that’s been ringing me non-stop for nearly five weeks. This was the first time I've seen this number pop up, looked like it could be from overseas on my caller ID. No voicemail or anything, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

This was totally a SCAM !!! They said they worked for the FCA and told me I had some forgotten bitcoin from ages back. Then they asked me to log into a site and put in my info to get the cash. I said no, and then they got all pushy, trying hard to make me spill my details.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the FCA’s investigation team, asserting that I had some lost bitcoin from ages past. They urged me to log into this dodgy site called COINALREC.COM, using an email and password they shared. When I declined, their tone shifted dramatically, becoming rather pushy. They were insistent on obtaining my address and even suggested I download a desktop application so they could remotely assist me. It was all a bit surreal, to say the least! 🤣 What a load of nonsense!

Recently, I had a rather unsettling phone call from a gentleman with a pronounced foreign accent, claiming to represent the FCA, or the Financial Conduct Authority, as he put it. When I probed a bit further, he insisted he was part of their Fraud Recovery Department. However, his tone quickly shifted to one of hostility as he barked at me to allow him to continue speaking. At that point, I decided it was best to hang up.
