Phone number ☎️ 01577850011 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance scam originating from a UK number linked to virtual call forwarding, frequently impersonating Microsoft support. Callers, often with Indian accents, claim the recipient’s computer is infected and attempt to gain remote access or personal information. Targeting vulnerable individuals, especially the elderly, these calls involve hanging up when challenged, abuse if confronted, or silent calls to provoke response. Despite victims being registered with the Telephone Preference Service or ex-directory, the calls continue incessantly, sometimes multiple times daily. Many report the calls as distressing and intrusive. Advisable actions include not engaging, reporting to Ofcom or ICO, utilising call-blocking services, and educating vulnerable contacts to avoid harm or financial loss. Authorities and providers face challenges in halting these scams due to number spoofing and call routing.

This number and also 01234567891 keep calling my elderly folks loads of times a day. It’s really upsetting them, especially since my dad’s got dementia, which makes it even harder for us all. Why is it so difficult to get these calls to stop? It’s seriously affecting my parents’ wellbeing.

So annoying, like others have mentioned, I’m also on the ExDir and TPS lists. I rushed down two flights of stairs to answer, but just missed it and it went to voicemail. When I tried calling back, all I got was a no-connection tone. URGHHH!!!

Just like the other reviews I've seen, a woman claiming to be from Microsoft Windows rang me up. Curiously, I inquired about how she obtained my phone number. Her reply was that it’s linked to Microsoft. I mentioned that I don’t own a computer, and without so much as a goodbye, she abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, to say the least!

Received a rather unexpected call from this number at precisely 10:46 on the 15th of December. A woman named Lisa claimed to be ringing from the Microsoft Service Department. Interestingly, I’ve had similar calls at 08:10 on the two mornings prior! Quite evidently, it's a scam. The moment I mentioned being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, the line went silent immediately. I'm definitely lodging a complaint with the ICO.

I've been receiving calls non-stop from this number. It feels like we’re just there, silently breathing on the line. They didn’t say a word before hanging up. Is this what you call a stalker? Very odd behaviour indeed...

This number keeps ringing my phone but then just hangs up as soon as I answer. I'm ex-directory and on the TPS list, so it's really annoying that they still get through, maybe just picking numbers randomly. Having a look at the reviews here, I feel the same as everyone else. Honestly, this mess needs sorting ASAP.

Fraudsters - some bloke named Jordan phoned saying he wanted to talk to the computer user, saying there were loads of errors and problems with our system. I told him we’re actually experts in internet security and he just ended the call. It really worries me how these people target older folks, you hear about it all the time and thankfully most of our clients tell them to push off, but there's always a small number who find it hard to shake them off the line ??

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming there was an issue with my Microsoft account. They’ve tried to reach me multiple times and always seem to pause for a moment before speaking. The caller claimed that I was using Microsoft software without a proper licence and that I’d be subject to a fine. Over the past week, this number has called me several times, and each time they've chosen not to leave a message. When I finally picked up, there was a noticeable pause before the caller spoke, which made me suspect it was yet another nuisance call. Today, I answered again, and this time a woman with a heavy accent-possibly Indian-started babbling about an issue with my computer. I believe she referred to Windows, though her rapid-fire delivery made it hard to catch everything she said. Feeling rather cheeky, I responded with some sarcasm, but she didn't utter another word. I then firmly told her to clear off and promptly hung up.

They tried to send me to a website where they could remotely access my machine. Definitely a dodgy scam!

This number rang my workplace about 10 times just this morning. The caller sounded Indian and said he was phoning from the UK, saying his name was Romeo. We're not sure what he wanted exactly. One of my workmates pretended to be interested for a while, just to annoy him and kill some time. He kept insisting on ringing back multiple times. We even told him we'd report him to the police.

This number is an absolute nuisance, a scam artist and frankly rather dodgy. I just picked up the phone and there was nothing but silence on the other end. They've been ringing incessantly over the past week and, to add insult to injury, a woman with a strong Indian accent tried to con my husband into believing there was an issue with our computer. Ridiculous, right? Thankfully, he wasn’t having any of it, and she hung up in the end. Does anyone know how I can put a stop to this persistent caller?

They keep ringing up even after I told them to stop. Today they called at 7.55 but didn’t pick up, although I could hear them breathing on the line. When someone finally does answer, they claim to be from Microsoft and say my computer has an issue. I’ve told them I don’t even have a computer and they just hang up.

Got calls from these "Windows Security" scammers, probably from India. When I told them to stop ringing me, they got really nasty. They ended up swearing at me and even made threats about my family. Sounds like it's a couple working together. They were calling up to three times daily but now just cut me off straight away. Proper awful folks.

I've been dealing with this persistent Indian chap who insists on calling me daily about a computer scam. I've made it clear that I'm not interested and that I recognise it as a con, yet he continues to ring me without fail. It's become quite tiresome!

They rang our office today and as soon as we said it was a workplace, they started shouting threats and taking the mick outta my mum. I gave as good as I got though, but honestly, if an older person had answered, it could’ve really upset them. Proper scumbags!!!!!

Got two calls within an hour, one from a guy and one from a woman, both sounding Indian and saying they were from Microsoft. After a quick search, I found out that this area code is known for loads of "virtual numbers" that can ring anywhere worldwide. So I reckon even if I block one, they’ll just call from another. Not the worst thing ever, but annoyingly they always ring early in the morning.

Received a call earlier today from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He said my PC was showing warning alerts and had picked up a Trojan virus. He tried to prove who he was by offering my computer ID number. I told him I was heading out (didn't fancy wasting my time) and he said he'd call again. If he rings back, he won’t get much patience from me!

I had a dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, and honestly, their accent was so thick I could barely understand a word they were saying. It felt like they were trying to trick me into installing some shady software on my device. It's crucial that people are made aware of this number to avoid falling into their trap!

It’s so frustrating, calls keep coming at all hours and I’ve had quite a few over the past few days. This morning at 7.30 my husband picked up, told them we don’t own a computer and then just hung up. Next time they ring, I’m thinking of saying I work in computer forensics just to see how they react. These calls really need to be blocked. My sister-in-law, who’s 80 and never used a computer, also keeps getting them and I just told her to ignore and hang up. It’s seriously getting on my nerves.

I’m completely fed up with these relentless calls. No matter how polite I try to be, they just won’t take the hint. My computer is absolutely fine, yet these callers keep insisting there's something wrong. It's becoming quite tiresome, getting rung at all hours-like this morning at 7:45! And to top it off, I can barely understand a word they're saying, as their accents make it all a bit muddled. Perhaps I should start telling them I’m a tech whiz; who knows, that might be the trick to finally put an end to these nuisance calls!

This number seems to ring me all too often, seemingly linked to a scammer pretending to be from Microsoft and BT. My daughter picked up the call today, and it was a man on the line prying into very personal matters, asking about her boyfriend and inappropriate topics. Thankfully, my kids are quite savvy and recognise these tricks!

This morning I got a call from this number and when I told the lady I wasn’t interested in getting my computer “repaired,” she replied, “Are you an absolute f***ing moron?” then just ended the call.

This number has been ringing me pretty much every morning this week, kicking off at 8am sharp! Today was no different, had calls till about 2.30pm, counted about 7 in total. The last one was a proper mouthful, some woman claiming to be from Microsoft - yeah right, as if!

I’m so sick of these calls constantly coming through. Lucky for me, my BT phone lets me block numbers. They still try ringing but can’t get through, though they’ve already called a couple of times today. Before, it was always some Indian guy talking about Microsoft (which is pointless since I use Apple!!). Could someone sort out a way to fully block this number, especially for older folks who might fall for it?

They keep calling my 88 year old mum over and over, saying my late dad left her money she never heard about. Absolutely disgusting people, honestly the lot of them deserve to be thrown in jail.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian/Punjabi accent, said he had no cash and asked if I could help out. Hung up on him the second time in two days. Also had some calls from withheld numbers claiming to be from Microsoft. Total scammers, best to steer clear.

They've rung me 3 times on the 18th of Nov 2016, twice again the following day and today I finally picked up. It was a lady who claimed there'd been issues with my PC recently. I told her I hadn't even turned it on in days. After that, they just hung up on me.

I've received three separate calls from this number now. A guy with an Indian accent keeps insisting that he’s my father, which is utterly baffling! I’m becoming increasingly frustrated, particularly since this is our work line and it's really disrupting our operations!

got a call from this number today, it’s got a kinross, scotland, area code. don’t know anyone from that place and wasn’t waiting for any calls from there. i usually let my voicemail answer unknown callers. most sales or scam calls don’t bother leaving messages, and this one just hung up too. reading other comments, looks like it might be one of those tech support scams. sadly there's loads of these around all the time. just a reminder, microsoft will never phone you about computer issues. don’t trust strangers ringing up saying there’s a problem with your computer.
