There was that all too familiar pause filled with the annoying hustle and bustle of a call centre, as if they were collecting themselves before launching into their pitch. I allowed the bloke to say just a single sound before I cut him off - didn't fancy wasting any more time on whatever rubbery sales spiel he had lined up.
