I just had a dodgy call from someone pretending I’d cheated the tax office. The number they used was different from the one mentioned above, this one was 01575 725402. The location seemed legit though, so I reckon these scammers just swap numbers around or mess with how they appear on your caller ID. I’m not sure how to report it properly on this site, so I’m putting it here instead. Just thought it might help others be warned.

Got a call from this number and the moment I picked up, some robotic voice kicked off, then it started ringing somewhere else. When I answered, it was just ringing non stop. I'd avoid picking up, cause the second you do, they start charging you.

When I picked up, there was a lot of noise in the background. A woman with an Asian accent then asked if she was speaking to Mrs. ?. I asked her who was calling, but she just ignored me. She kept asking if she was talking to Mrs. ? without saying who she was or which company she worked for. I eventually hung up. Honestly, I'm so sick of these random cold calls, they just waste my time.
