Reports on phone number 01572747078
3 yearsOn Tuesday morning, 28th November, I got a call from an automated voice saying money had been withdrawn from my account. The phone just rang out of the blue and it was really unsettling.3 yearsGot loads of automated calls claiming to be from bank security saying there’s been suspicious charges on my card - one for over £100 and another for more than £1100. They kept telling me to press 1 to speak to their ‘support team’. These calls came through like 2 or 3 times every day for a couple of days. I rang up my bank to check and yep, it was obviously a scam. They even mentioned Amazon, which is a total giveaway for those dodgy call centres from India. Luckily, I knew straight away and just hung up without any fuss.Amazon3 yearsGot a voicemail about two big payments taken out for Amazon, but it didn’t mention which bank. It told me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to talk to a rep. I just hung up straight away.Amazon3 yearsI didn't pick up because the number was unfamiliar to me.3 yearsGot a missed call from this number and when I checked the voicemail, it claimed there were big transactions on my card including an International money order. Sounds like a classic scam to me.3 yearsGot a call earlier today from some robot voice claiming I made two payments - one for £300 to Amazon and another one for £1000 as an international transfer. They then listed a bunch of choices but I didn’t press any. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away and block the number if you can.Amazon3 yearsGot a recorded call, pretty much the same as one I got before, warning about possible fraud on my Amazon or bank account and telling me to press 1. Obviously didn’t press anything. What’s fishy is that just yesterday the same message came from a nearby number, and after checking it out, I discovered scammers were using that number without permission. I reckon they did that to make it seem legit and get me to reply.Amazon3 yearsEarly Wednesday morning around 8.30, I got a call from 01572747078. An automated message claimed there were two dodgy transactions on my bank account, nothing like what I'd normally do. It told me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to talk to an adviser. I just hung up straight away. They took ages to answer when I said hello, never said who they were or exactly what the issue was about. Plus, banks usually don’t call but send a text telling you to check a secure email. Honestly, it felt like a total scam from the start.3 yearsTotally a banking rip-off.3 yearsGot a voicemail saying something about my bank claiming there were big withdrawals from my account. Didn’t mention the bank’s name or even my name. The message told me to press 1 to stop the payments or 2 to talk to a person. Pretty obvious this was a scam.3 yearsGot a call informing me that there were two tries to withdraw cash from my bank - one for £1000 and another of £400 supposedly from Amazon. They offered me several ways to sort it out, but I decided not to pursue any of them. Felt very dodgy, I’d steer clear of this one.AmazonSubmit Your Own Report (01572 747078)
