this number popped up on my mobile earlier today, with a woman on the line speaking with a foreign accent. she called me by my first name, but kept getting my surname wrong. she said she was from nationwide building society and started asking about a mortgage they said i had with them. problem is, i've never had any mortgage with nationwide at all. when i told her this, she just hung up straight away. tried calling back, but no answer. definitely seemed like some kind of scam to me.
