Got a call saying it was from Amazon, telling me there’s been some dodgy activity on my account and that I’m somehow signed up for Amazon Prime at £99.99 a year. They told me to press 1 to talk to someone about cancelling it. Felt like a complete scam trying to either nab my bank info or get me on a rip-off premium number. I’ve been getting this recorded message nearly every day this week, sometimes from overseas numbers, sometimes local. Totally obvious con, do NOT press 1, just hang up straight away.
