There was nothing but quiet, just some office noises I guess (my Alexa makes those when I tell her to!). As soon as I started talking, they just ended the call. Blocked them straight away.

Got a call from this number and the bloke on the line already knew our family name. Sounded like a guy. I barely caught that it was something about our account, but when I corrected him saying he had the wrong details, he just hung up straight away. We've been getting calls about once every month from loads of different landline numbers, all about our TV or insurance stuff. It does feel quite annoying and a bit worrying to be honest.

got a call from a woman with an asian accent claiming to be from securehome about tv insurance, said she could offer me a better price. she asked what brand my telly was. she somehow already had my name and address. when i asked her why she needed the brand, she just ended the call right away. bit fishy if you ask me.

I got a call from this number back on 17/1/19 at about 2.37pm. I just ignored it and didn’t pick up.

Got a call from someone with a strange accent saying my TV insurance was going down, but I’ve never even got TV insurance. When I wouldn’t answer their verification questions, they just ended the call. Not sure who they were.

Just got a call on my mum's phone, so I picked up. It took that Asian man a moment to respond, probably trying to figure out if I was elderly by hearing my voice, then he said my last name. I called him out straight away, told him he was running a scam targeting older folks. He actually got annoyed at me! We've had these calls before. Every time we block one number, they ring back from another. When I warned him I'd report his number to the cops, he just cut off!

An Asian gentleman contacted me and seemed to have knowledge of my address and postcode. He claimed to have a superior offer for my television maintenance plan, insisting he could provide it at a lower rate than what he alleged I was currently paying. The truth is, I don’t even have any insurance on my television! To make matters worse, he incorrectly identified my TV model and then proceeded to ask for my bank information. Once I confronted him about the apparent scam, he became rather unpleasant in his tone.
