Do these people really believe we’re this daft or what? I decided to humour one of them who kept blabbering about my BT account. I challenged them to verify my info by reciting my account details. With zero shame, they rattled off a completely made-up account number. Nearly burst out laughing then and there! I told them it was funny since I’ve never even had a BT account, now or ever. Finished with, you lot are just plain fibbers and don’t bother calling again. Honestly, it was quite the laugh and brightened up my afternoon!

This morning, I got a call from someone claiming to be with the BT Technical team, telling me my internet would be down for two weeks. I just said thanks and ended the call pretty quick. Sounds like a dodgy scam to me.

At 12:25pm today, I got a ring from 015657316824. There was quite a bit of noise in the background before a woman with an Indian accent said she was Jennifer from BT. She asked if I use the internet and told me the service might be cut off for a couple of days. Honestly, I suspected right away it was some sort of scam. I politely thanked her for the call and wished her a good day before ending the call. I've since blocked the number. The area code seems to be from Scotland, which made me even more suspicious!

Got a ring from this number earlier today, some bloke with an Indian accent saying my internet was going to be cut off soon. He wanted me to log into my computer so he could help fix the problem. I told him I didn’t trust that he was really from BT and said I hadn’t noticed any problems at all. Then he tried to convince me by offering some kind of CLI number? Dunno what that means. I just said I’d contact BT myself if there was a problem and hung up.

Just got the exact same sort of call. I asked if it was BT and to give me the account number - surprise surprise, they couldn’t. Then suddenly it was about my router’s TAC number. Told the bloke there’s no way he’d know that. After that, I told him to “Get lost, you dodgy scammer” and hung up. He kept ringing non stop after that, guess he didn’t like me clocking him. It was three calls in total so I just unplugged the phone for a bit to spoil his game. What really winds me up is how many poor folks they try to scare and rip off, and some actually fall for it!

Later, I rang BT myself and they confirmed it’s a scam. They promised to take the matter seriously and report the number to the proper authorities.

Looks like these lot are at it once more just before Christmas. Got a message from BT today saying my router was sending out nasty emails and malware, and they’d cut it off for 10 days in an hour! Not buying it though, especially with that Scottish dialling code - feels dodgy. Shame they don’t use their time for something proper instead of causing hassle.

Got a call earlier today around 10:28, they claimed my BT internet would be disconnected in an hour for 10 days unless I bought some special line. I immediately knew it was rubbish since I use Virgin, not BT. Total scam if you ask me.

Got a call from the same number, this woman claimed she was with BT, saying my line would be cut off soon. I told her it’s a brand new number for me, just set up a couple weeks ago. When I asked how she had my details, she just said no name but insisted my number was on her list. I told her I’m not with BT and it’s not their line, then she started getting really irate and hung up. Weird call overall.

Just this afternoon at 2:14pm, I got a call from the number 01567316824. A woman with an Indian accent said there was a virus on my computer and my internet would be cut off unless they fixed it. I’m always a bit wary of these sorts of calls, so I asked her to send me everything in an email. She claimed she’d already emailed me, but when I checked my inbox, there was nothing from BT. I decided to ring BT myself, and they confirmed it wasn’t them. They told me they’d never contact customers by phone like this and would send a letter instead. So, definitely a scam in my opinion.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were from the Indian subcontinent claiming to be with BT, our broadband and landline supplier. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be Jason Green from BT tech support. He warned me my internet would be disconnected soon and said I needed to sit at my computer so he could help fix it. I immediately felt something was off and told him I don’t even have internet. Then he snapped, “Why are you wasting my time?” I just replied, “You're the one who called me,” and he just hung up. Quite the cheeky encounter!
