So this chap named Kevin (though I have my doubts about that) rang me up claiming to represent a company called Black Pearl Claims, inquiring about my PPI. He kicked off with "Which PPI are we discussing here?" To which he followed up with a rather vague question about my past credit cards. I asked him how on earth he got hold of my information, and he smugly replied that they have ties with "reputable businesses." When I pressed him about his location, he admitted to being in India, though insisted their offices are in the UK. A quick search revealed they're supposedly based in Leeds, and I stumbled upon a few not-so-favourable comments on Money Saving Expert. I was really digging in and giving him what for, but then he abruptly cut the call. Honestly, when did Knutsford relocate to India?

A caller identified herself as being from some BTA organisation, but she was rather impatient and quite challenging to comprehend. The moment she brought up PPI, I decided to end the call immediately.

I received a voicemail from them, but being abroad means I won’t be listening to it until I’m back in the UK. Honestly, these pesky spammers are such a bother and need to be put in their place. I'm perfectly capable of handling my own PPI claims, thank you very much. They really are nothing but a pain. It would do the banks some good to shut them down completely-then we wouldn’t have to put up with their ridiculous antics.
