I received a phone call from a chap claiming to represent a life insurance firm. The amusing bit? I don’t even have life insurance! He went on about how I had expressed interest in it, which was utterly unfounded. Before I knew it, we’d descended into a bit of a tiff over my lack of coverage. When I mentioned I’d be lodging a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service, he quickly asserted that his call had been filtered through them. The caller identified himself as Lee. Quite the experience, I must say!
