I rang them back to inquire further, but they were quite evasive about their identity. They claimed I had been involved in a recent car accident and that they had some sort of notification regarding it. This is complete nonsense, as I've never been in an accident nor do I even own a vehicle! I've been on the Telephone Preference Service list for over a year now, so surely if they were a genuine call centre, they would be aware not to contact my number. This particular call was made to my mobile, but they also reached out on my landline a few days prior, and I'd already instructed them to cease their calls.
