Got a call from a woman named Anna, claiming to be from some Electrical Goods Refund company. She spoke with a thick South Asian accent and asked me to verify my bank card number for a refund of £149.99. To make it seem legit, she even ‘helped’ by stating the first four digits of my card. I told her she wasn’t allowed to do that under GDPR rules, and she called me “too clever” and started getting quite rude. I had a feeling from the start it was a scam call aiming to steal my banking info. Just a heads up to everyone to watch out for these dodgy calls.
