This number rings me like every couple of days, but I mostly dont pick up. Ive found a funny little trick tho to get them off the line quick and maybe make them stop calling. Just ask what colour underwear they’re wearing! It’s sure to make them hang up sharpish! Weirdly, it works even better if its a bloke on the other end!

This number has called me about 4 times this week. The first time I answered, some bloke with an Asian accent said his name was Peter and told me I'd been given compensation for an accident I supposedly had (must have wiped my memory, cos I don’t recall a thing). I ignored the next couple of calls but finally picked up last time without checking who it was, just said hello and they hung up straight away. Proper pain in the neck. How do they even get your number? Total scam. Avoid!

Got a call and they asked for Mrs X (which is me). I kept asking what the call was about, like 3 times, but they wouldn't say until I confirmed who I was because of data protection or something. I told them since they called me and my phone marked their number as maybe a scam, they should be the ones proving who they are. Then I just hung up. Pretty sure it’s some kind of scam.

Got a call from a woman with a Liverpool accent, claiming she was following up on a car accident I supposedly reported and needed to verify some info. I told her I don’t even have a car, so she just ended the call straight away. These scammers are daft, hope they get caught soon.

Honestly, they should just ban selling peoples numbers altogether, that's the main reason we get all these annoying calls. Companies are buying up calling lists just like with emails and those annoying letters you get in the post. But who actually sells your info? Pretty much anyone, from your mobile network to your bank or even insurance and loan companies - they all trade lists. Also, dont put your details online ever cos then your phone’ll just keep ringing non stop.

I was on the phone for work so I picked up this call just in case it was related. They mentioned my name and said they were ringing from Direct Response about a car accident. Got a call using my full name, said it was a feedback survey from my insurance after a recent accident and claim. When I asked which insurance, the woman snappd "oh for f***'s sake" and hung up straight away. To be clear, I’ve had no accidents or claims recently.
