This morning, I received a rather dubious phone call that reeked of scam. The automated voice claimed there was some sort of fraudulent activity concerning my Visa debit card, involving a transaction for £750 with a Canadian wine firm. Naturally, I hung up immediately and rang my bank to get to the bottom of it. Fortunately, there’s been no such fraud on my account. My bank is on the case, and I'm also reporting this to Action Fraud, as it's clear these crooks need to be put in their place. I've gone ahead and blocked the number too, just to be safe.
