I just had a rather dodgy call from someone masquerading as BT Openreach. Even though I was clearly not buying into his story, he persisted in claiming he was calling about some supposed issues with our internet speed - suggesting we were under attack from hackers. He promised to guide us through the "fix." After I confronted him, saying, "There's an abundance of scammers these days, and you don’t represent our internet provider," he abruptly hung up. That was all the proof I needed that he was up to no good!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach. I was pretty suspicious from the start, but he insisted there was an issue with our broadband, saying they'd had reports of it being slow and that it might have been hacked. He even offered to help fix it. After I told him there are loads of scammers about and that BT isn’t our provider, he just hung up on me. That was a clear sign he was up to no good.
