WARNING: Seems like this number was faked, but I got a call from a supposed Microsoft rep running the same old con - telling me to type stuff like assoc and eventvwr in the command prompt. What’s new is they’re now pushing you to download remote access tools from dodgy overseas sites like 150.co.il, and if you don’t fall for that, they switch to aplemix.com instead. Basically, they're trying to sneak remote-control programs onto your computer. They get proper annoyed when you mess around and won’t play along!
