01555662140 - Some bloke rang me saying he was with Outreach. When I told him I hadn’t heard of them, he switched to saying he was from BT. I told him I was with neither, and then he just told me to get lost in a rude way. Definitely a scam call. I reported it to the cops who gave me a number to report it properly. Looks like this number is from Lanark, Scotland. I’d steer clear of it, sounds dodgy.

He attempted to assert he was from outreach, but when I told him I hadn't received any communication from them, he responded with a rather rude "bugger off."

Today alone I got around twenty calls from just a handful of numbers saying they're from BT or Virgin, telling me there's something wrong with my internet. Thing is, I don’t even have internet or WiFi, so it’s obviously a load of rubbish. I’ve reported them to the BT scam team and also filed a report with the police's Action Fraud. From what I gather, these callers are operating out of Lanarkshire. Never had these kind of calls before, and now it feels like they won't stop.

I got a call from someone claiming to be John at Virgin, asking how my internet was. I replied it was alright, then they just ended the call. Since then, they've been ringing me every morning at about 8:15. It’s my landline they’re calling. I’ve just started ignoring the calls now.

I got a call from a woman claiming her name was Janet and that she was from Virgin Media’s tech team. She told me my broadband was having issues and the speed was slow. People have been getting these HMRC scam calls for ages now, and plenty have mentioned it here before. If you come across one, it’s a good idea to report it straight away to the police through the Action Fraud website as well.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from Virgin. She told me there was something wrong with my router. I knew right away it was dodgy, so I just cut the call. Pretty obvious scam, so watch out and don’t fall for it.
