Got a call from someone saying they were from BT Openreach. I asked who they were trying to speak to, and then they just dropped the call. Definitely seemed like a scam.

someone rang saying they were from bt openreach about some issue with our internet connection. i asked a few questions and for a number to call them back on, which seemed to annoy them quite a bit. since we haven’t had any internet problems lately, i’m pretty sure it was just a dodgy scam call.

My elderly mum got a call from someone claiming to be from the local community, saying they were raising funds for our church. She honestly thought they were legit and ended up sharing her bank info with them. It’s such a shame, proper scammers.

A guy called claiming to be from BT Openreach, said there was an issue with my internet. I told him I wasn’t even connected to broadband, then he just suddenly ended the call! Total scam for sure.
