My elderly dad, who’s 86, keeps getting these scary phone calls. One person told him they were going to turn off his internet, which is odd since he doesn’t even have internet at all. Then there’s another caller saying he owes money on his Amazon account. Honestly, to him, Amazon is just a big rainforest somewhere in South America!

Somebody rang me saying they were from BT, then they handed me over to a senior tech who basically repeated the same stuff. They told me my internet had some kind of error alerts and that if I turned on my computer, they could fix it. Their English was pretty bad and really hard to follow.

They said they were from BT but as I told them I’m hard of hearing, they just cut me off straight away.
