I got a voicemail from 01554751443 asking me to ring 08432890963, but the number that actually left the message was 01554751443. Both calls end up pushing you to pay for call blocking services somehow, and I'm convinced they're linked. Funny thing is, I’d already chatted to her earlier this year. Paid £42 to stop all these pest calls, but today they claimed I’d have to fork out more to “get my number back from some Indian firm” (never stick to one name too!). That annoyed me, no doubt about that. Still, Josie did mention I should double-check the preference settings on any sites where I buy stuff. I was a bit sceptical since I don’t think a phone can dial out or trigger a call without you pressing something, but he dodged that question. Then he went on to say his company could “protect” my number from these calls but it would involve some paperwork, which they’d charge a one-time fee of £33.52 for. I was waiting for him to drop that bit in the pitch, and sure enough he did!
