Got a call from some place called Alli about PPI. The woman on the phone was really cheeky and refused to say if it was a cold call. this lady rang me asking for me by name, saying somethin about banks gettin fined, and I was like "why should I care?" seems like my number’s been handed over to loads of debt firms cos all I get are calls from different numbers now, even tho I’m signed up with the TPS. aren’t they meant to check before ringin people? they really should get slapped with big fines, maybe then they’d stop botherin us all the time.

This number just keeps popping up in my life. Got another missed call from it today. I called back on a work phone, not my personal one obviously. The person said they were helping folks who got mis sold PPI. The caller was alright, not too pushy, and I stayed polite, so that was that. You can't really be mad at the people answering, they don’t control the scam, they're probably just doing a low paid job. The real masterminds are impossible to reach. Would be nice to know where the boss of this lot lives, maybe send some “friends” round for a chat!

A man with a Welsh accent claimed to be calling from HSBC and asked me to verify my account info and PIN. When I refused and told him my bank would never request that, he started swearing and making threatening remarks. He even said he’d harm me and my wife, invoking Islam and God as reasons. Definitely watch out for this number.

Not all call centres are the same, just because some hang up quickly, are rude, or call from a blocked number - and if you try to return the call, it’s just dead. It’s unfair to lump them altogether like that. For me, it’s mainly personal injury firms ringing from London numbers that get on my nerves.
