They wanted to talk to the person who owns the house and said it was about swapping out the boiler. I tried telling them I wasn’t interested but they just kept going, like they were reading from some script. The voice had that typical call centre vibe, probably from India or somewhere like that.

Goodness, yet another silent call popping up! It seems like these might be automated systems scouring for active numbers to harvest. It's quite alarming to think this information could end up being sold off. We’re on the X-directory list, so how on earth did they get hold of our number? Like they said before, the person calling me had a really thick foreign accent which made it hard to catch everything. I did manage to understand they were talking about some free boiler programme. But from what I gathered, it's got limited funding and only available for folks who fit some pretty tight requirements. I'm guessing most people probably wouldn't qualify for it.
