Absolutely infuriating, yet another bothersome telemarketer!

The call was absolutely rife with ambient noise and voices overlapping in the background, reminiscent of a busy call centre with several conversations happening simultaneously. The person on the line seemed keen to persuade me to consider investing in their organisation. They were dishing out investment tips while confidently assuring me of massive and safe returns. Quite the sales pitch, to say the least!

Got a call from a sketchy call centre the other day.

It's definitely a scam. They kept ringing me but didn’t say a word, just loads of racket as if from a busy call centre in the background. This number I got called on must’ve come from some sort of data breach abroad, so I reckon these lot bought it off some dodgy hackers. Total scam, no question about it.

An english-speaking lady with a noticeable asian accent called to ask how I’m feeling, wished me a happy new year, and said she’d connect me to a gentleman who would chat about electric cars or something like that. The man, speaking without any strong accent, started asking about my job, earnings, and how familiar I am with financial markets… just some small talk. He mentioned they were from a financial company and began explaining things, but kept needing me to respond like “yes, yes,” or “do you think so?” I told them I’m in Poland and gave some fake info just to keep it going. After about ten minutes, I’d had enough, said something in Polish and hung up. They never called back.
