Answered the phone by accident, reckon it was my mate who just shifted to Norfolk so I thought I’d see what’s up. Turned out to be some energy saving sales pitch ‘round here’. Told them I wasn’t keen, pretty blunt as well. Right when I was ending the call, the woman on the other end forgot to hang up fast enough and I heard her say “Sod off then!” before cutting out. Lovely!

We've been getting calls from this number all the time. Since we've got an answer machine set up, we never pick up straight away - our recorded message warns callers that we don't take cold calls. If they're legit, they can leave their number and we'll ring back. It's a great way to avoid those annoying sales calls; usually the phone stops ringing just before the message finishes, so we can tell it's one of those cold calls!

Nice caller - they told me their name and said they were calling from a company in King's Lynn, checking in with homeowners in Peterborough. The company was called Anglia... something, but I couldn’t quite catch the last bit even after he repeated it a couple of times. I told him sorry but I’ve moved away from Peterborough now, down in East Anglia, and then he ended the call.
