Just got one of those classic scam calls, really annoying. Best thing is to not pick up and just block the number straight away.

A bloke with a heavy foreign accent rang me, saying he was with Sky. He tried to pass me to some so-called manager to sort out a new payment plan. Seemed a bit fishy to me. I told him if he was legit, he’d know my bank details already. Then I started blowing a referee whistle down the phone - that scared them off real quick! Guess they’re not fans of proper English tunes.

I got a call like this just now. The guy kept saying I’m on some sky maintenance direct debit thing. I told him a couple of times that’s not true, then he just cut off the call out of nowhere. Pretty sure he was fishing for my bank info next.

they’ve rung me a couple of times this week. my last name is a bit unique and they kept messing up how it sounded. one time they said, "is this mr... .2?" i just said "sorry?" and they just hung up straight away. honestly, glad it didn’t get any more awkward than that.
