I received an automated call notifying me that a card had been utilised for transactions. The details were rather vague and didn't specify any information regarding the card itself or indicate who the message was intended for. Quite unhelpful, really!

I received a rather dodgy automated call claiming that a mysterious payment of over £400 had been charged to my Visa card, which I simply don’t recognise. They mentioned another payment that I do acknowledge, but this definitely wasn’t from my bank. After a quick chat with them, they assured me they hadn’t attempted to reach out and confirmed there were no irregular transactions on my account. Interestingly, they also noted that scammers tend to use hefty figures like £400 as bait. I pressed the button to replay the message since the robotic voice was speaking way too fast for my liking, but instead of the message, the line just cut off. The bank concluded it was a sneaky ploy to fish for my banking information. I've now blocked that number - not taking any chances!
