2 yearsThey called to say I'd been chosen for a roof grant worth £6000. On the spot, I handed over a big deposit because they said I was the final person eligible for it. I've ended up paying almost £10000 but all they've done is clean the roof. When I asked about the re-felting and new battens I was promised, they suddenly claimed that didn't count as roof renovation, even though my felt was totally rotten and we'd agreed on the work plenty of times. Then they said there was no such grant and maybe I mixed them up with another firm. Absolute con artists - don’t make the same mistake I did.2 yearsLoads of missed calls from this number. When I called back, someone said it was Howlett Roofing. At first, I assumed it was an estate agent. I pressed a button to try and reach the sales team, then a bloke answered and told me the company name. Doesn’t make sense why there’s such a long call history between me and them. Feels like there’s been some mix-up or glitch linking this number to an estate agent.Howlett Roofing2 yearsThey called asking if the house is yours, then wanted to double-check your name and postcode.2 yearsA lady from Help for Homes rang me up, not trying to sell anythin but just to talk about some roofing assistance. I’d just finished having mine done so I didn’t really need it. She was really nice though, made the call quite pleasant.Help for Homes2 yearsGot a call on my mobile and they already had my name. I just ended the call and have since blocked the number.2 yearsIf you've got a dodgy roof and wanna save a bunch of cash, definitely give these folks a ring back. I was looking at a roof job that was gonna set me back about £10,000, but thanks to them I ended up paying only £5,000! They were proper nice and really helped me out loads. Can't recommend them enough!2 yearsThese green comments are honestly laughable. If this was a real business, why don’t they just give us their company name and where they’re based so we can look into it? Feels like a total scam to me.2 yearsI got a call about some roof grant thing, but as soon as I said I couldn't set up an appointment straight away, they just ended the call. Brilliant service, honestly.2 yearsJust a heads up about these calls claiming to be from an ‘energy grant scheme’ trying to set up a home visit. Be cautious, it might not be legit!2 yearsI got a call from this firm about some roofing deals and thought I'd give it a go. They visited my place soon after and kindly knocked a bit off the price for roof work. Not long after, I needed to get my soffits and fascia sorted, so I used their offer. The team was really nice throughout and sorted everything out for me without any fuss.Submit Your Own Report (01553 609700)
