Got called a couple of times over the last 48 hours from this number, some bloke asking for a Mr Shaw. Told them they’ve got the wrong person and they just ended the call straight away. Blocked it now.

I picked up and this woman with an accent was doing one of those surveys, asking loads of questions I could barely get what she was saying. Stuff like if I owned the house, what brand my TV was and the make of my dishwasher. The creepy bit was she already had my postcode and address, made me a bit uneasy.

It seems likely that this is some kind of business operating under a name such as 'Green Energy', utilising a duplicated phone number and making calls from an overseas call centre. This has been a persistent issue in our locality for more than twelve months now. They're definitely up to no good!

Got a call from a number that’s been cloned for some ‘green energy’ outfit or something along those lines. When I answered, it was definitely a call centre, and it didn’t sound like it was based in the UK at all.
