My old man picked up even though the number showed on the screen. These lot couldn’t care less about the Telephone Preference Service, just wasting time trying to push double glazing on us. Crazy that’s still a thing nowadays. About two minutes later, I got a call from a blocked number - typical follow-up after you actually answer. So annoying!

I've noticed that my phone flags this as an international call, yet it later displays the number 01553 233454 in the finer details. Strangely, the caller never bothers to leave a message, and when I answer, it's just dead air before they hang up. I've taken to blocking these calls, but it seems they're employing a different number each time, making it a continuous nuisance. Is there no proper channel for reporting such bothersome numbers? I thought cold calling was against the law now, or have I got that wrong?

I've received multiple calls from this number. Each time I answer, it appears to be some sort of call centre in the background. Fingers crossed it's been blocked at last!

Got a call from something called Green Deal. They asked if I was on the TPS but just brushed it off, saying because I’d shared my number elsewhere, they were allowed to get in touch. When I questioned why the number looked like a non-geographic one, they claimed they were calling through the internet. I told them to stop calling me. Apparently, they reckon most folks actually like their calls and appreciate the deals they offer!

A bloke rang up saying my windows were over ten years old and offered to sort funding to swap them out. I was suspicious right away, figured it was dodgy 'cause he wanted my bank info. I asked how the deal worked and he claimed they’d recover costs from the old windows. Told him it all sounded too good to be legit and said I reckoned it was a scam. Asked him to take my number off their list or I’d report them to the ICO. Instead of a proper response, he just cut me off. I told him that was pretty unprofessional and ended the call!

A rather young woman rang me up, purportedly from Green Energy, claiming she was phoning from Kings Lynn. When I raised my suspicions about her location-having been plagued by such calls in the past-she became quite flustered. She even mentioned being able to see Morrisons from her window! I decided to stay silent for a moment, hoping for some more elaboration. With a hint of sarcasm, she remarked, "So you don’t want to chat with me then," mumbled something inaudibly, and promptly hung up. Well, there goes another two minutes wasted on an unsolicited call.

This number called me earlier today. I said hello a few times with no reply, so I reckoned it was one of those annoying cold calls where they’re not really paying attention. Eventually, someone did answer, but I told them if they’d been actually listening instead of juggling half a dozen calls, they’d have heard me straight away. Then, unbelievably, the bloke said I was being rude and told me to f### off! I wasn’t having any of it and told him he could do the same before hanging up.

I received a call earlier today - on a Saturday, no less - from someone claiming to be from King's Lynn. They stated they had recently visited our home but, unfortunately, we weren't in at the time. The call went on about how they noticed our windows were over a decade old, and on it went. My wife found it a bit tricky to bring the conversation to a close, but she eventually did. What really puzzles me is, if they were canvassing in our neighbourhood, how on earth did they get hold of our phone number for this follow-up? I've since blocked the number.

Someone rang up looking for Mrs Symons, so I told them she’d passed away. Then they started asking my postcode, which threw me off a bit. After that, they claimed they must have the wrong number. I ended up confusing them by saying Mr Symons lived here before me but he’d died too. They had no comeback for that one, proper silent 😂😂😂

I’ve had calls from this green company about three times now. First call, I told them I wasn’t interested and the guy was quite decent about it. But when they rang again, I was a bit fed up and asked why they kept calling, and that time the person was really rude. The third time, as soon as I mentioned it was the third call, he just hung up on me. Bit annoying to say the least.
