I think this was one of those automated robocalls, though the voice sounded surprisingly clear. They rang me on 7th December 2020 at about 11:09 am, claiming to be from HMRC. They mentioned a court case number, something like 01297, and said I was being taken to court for unpaid tax. Of course, they asked me to press 1 or 2 for different options. Pretty obvious scam, but I was secretly hoping to get a real person on the line so I could mess about with them a bit. Merry Christmas, anyway!
