I suspect that this might have been an automated message, although the audio was surprisingly clear. It came through on 12th July 2020 at precisely 11:09 and proclaimed to be from HMRC. They referenced a court case number, 01297, insisting that I was in trouble for unpaid taxes. Standard options were presented - you know, the usual press 1, press 2 and so forth. It was patently a scam, to be honest, but a part of me wished I could engage with a real person just to mess with them a bit. Wishing you a fabulous Christmas season!
