scam alert - i got in touch with my phone and internet provider and they said everything's fine with my connection. they told me it's just a hoax call and went ahead to block the number on my behalf.

Got this dodgy automated call on my home phone warning me that my bt internet and landline were gonna be cut off. It told me to press 1, but I just hung up. I’m actually with Plusnet which is under BT anyway, and I don’t see any issue here. I’ll ring them back using a free number I know is legit instead.
