I'm guessing if you ring back or follow their prompts to accept or cancel, they’ll try and nab your card info and security code. Honestly, they must reckon everyone’s daft. Poor anyone who actually falls for this trick.

Got a call from a recorded message claiming I bought a refurbished iPhone for over £300 from Amazon. Said if it wasn't me, to press a number. Totally a scam, and this is like the fifth time this week from various numbers. Definitely dodgy stuff.

I've received that call multiple times now. It’s an automated voice saying something along the lines of: "This is a notification regarding your recent Amazon purchase of a refurbished iPhone. Your Visa card registered to this account will be charged..." I cut the call short before I had a chance to hear any more details, and I've since blocked that number.

I've had a similar experience! An automated voice left a message on my voicemail, just like what others have mentioned. I've gone ahead and blocked the number.
