Someone rang pretending to be from the TPS, asking for my card’s expiry date because it was supposedly tied to my TPS account. They didn’t even get my name right and ended the call when I challenged them. The caller said her name was Ami Ryan, but her accent was definitely not British. When I asked for the number she’d called from, she gave 02056277529, which wasn’t the same as the number shown on my caller ID. I enjoy dragging these calls out and grilling them until they quit, but I’m just worried that someone less cautious might fall for their scam.

Got three calls from the same number within 15 mins but no one bothered to leave a voicemail. Very odd.

Today at 12.12pm, I answered my phone but there was complete silence when I picked up. I just hung up straight away.

I received a staggering *TEN* calls today, all between 10:25 and 13:20, on a Bank Holiday Monday no less! It started off with them pestering me every 20 to 25 minutes, but the last four were irritatingly spaced just 14 minutes apart. I wasn’t around to answer the phone, and to top it off, not a single message was left! I can't quite figure out whether my Call Guardian managed to intercept them or if they were attempting some sneaky tactic-perhaps just introducing themselves as "John" or something equally generic, thinking that might lure me into answering. Quite the nuisance, I must say!

I picked up the phone pretty fast and a guy started talking about being from TPS and that he was "going to block calls". I told him he couldn't do that without me saying so. I've already got call blocking set up with Sky anyway. His voice sounded fishy and the name he gave didn’t seem right, so I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Definitely a scam call.

Got a call on my home phone from a bloke with a funny accent. He was surprisingly aware of my full name, where I live and even my husband’s name.
