I’m hearing impaired and I’ve positioned myself next to the phone that rings for emergencies. Every time it rings, I manage to answer on the very first go! I usually say "hello", though my son insists it sounds more like “gnagoh”. He starts typing on his phone, muttering something about being scared or acting all timid when he picks up. Poor lad! 😟

I received a call regarding my accident, but when I inquired about the date, they abruptly ended the conversation.

I received a call from someone who had a distinctly Indian accent, claiming that I'd been involved in a car accident. When I pressed for details on who they were trying to reach, they abruptly hung up on me.

A chap called me up insisting I’d been in an accident, which was utter nonsense as I hadn’t been involved in anything of the sort. He then abruptly ended the call.

Received a call past 9 o'clock on Saturday night regarding an incident involving my vehicle. I mentioned that I’d indeed had an accident, to which he replied it occurred within the last three years. At that point, I decided to end the conversation. Oddly enough, I hadn't been involved in any recent accidents.
