Ringing back strange numbers is Honestly a terrible idea. There’s loads of scams like the wangiri thing going around. Loads of these calls come from billions of random fake numbers made up by computers to trick people, so sometimes you might actually call back an innocent person by mistake and cause them grief. Or worse, you might get through to an actual crook. Honestly, only those who are clueless, naive or just plain daft bother returning unknown calls like that.

Got a call from a local BT landline number that I didn't recognise, turns out it was a scam trying to get my credit card details. When I tried calling back, the number just wasn’t recognised at all. Proper dodgy!
