This was definitely a dodgy call. It showed up as a local number, but it clearly wasn’t genuine. Got a recorded message claiming to be from Amazon about an order for a refurbished phone, gave me a number (order xxxxxxxxx). The message said to press 1 to cancel or 2 to confirm. I stupidly pressed 1 instead of just hanging up. When I tried ringing the number back on my phone, the caller ID showed the name Margaret. I ended the call before anyone picked up. Now I’m really worried that someone might have gotten into my Amazon account or, worse, my bank details.
