Today just after midday, I got a recorded call saying something like “HMRC is taking legal action against you. Press 1 now to talk to your case officer. Thanks.” The way it was said felt off and pretty dodgy. I never answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise anyway, so I didn’t pick up. When I listened back to the message, I had a quick look online and it turns out it’s definitely a scam.

Got a robocall from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying they were taking legal action against me. They told me to press a certain number to speak with a case officer. It was on 15/02/2018. I reckon people who’re more vulnerable would be really frightened by this.

Got a call warning about getting sued over some tax thing. Felt a bit dodgy, so I had to check. Turns out it was just a scare tactic. Don’t fall for it!
