7 yearsMy phone just buzzed and then suddenly stopped, couldn’t even get to answer it properly! Has this ever happend to anyone else?7 yearsGot a robocall from a lady with a British accent telling me the ‘national cyber security agency’ found an issue with my internet and that it’d be cut off in 24 hours. They said to ‘press 1 to talk to an agent’. I didn’t do anything, then after around half a minute a man with an American accent came on, thanking me for my response and saying they were putting me through to a ‘polling section’ to get feedback. Figuring this was probably some pricey number like an 0900, I just ended the call.National Cyber Security Agency7 yearsGot a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my router. When I asked for proof it was really them, they rattled off a long registration code linked to my computer and tried to get me to verify it. I found the whole thing a bit shady and told them they ought to send me a letter first rather than just ringing out of the blue. If it was legit, surely they’d use a more official approach.7 yearsI've got calls from this number twice today. The message, in an automated voice, claimed to be from the 'national cyber security department' warning me my internet had been hacked. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.National Cyber Security Department7 yearsthey said they were with the national cyber security team and claimed my internet had been hacked, all through a recorded message. i just hung up straight away.
